Healthcare in America is facing a serious crisis.
Today there are approximately 30 million Americans in Federally Designated Shortage Areas without access to Doctors. Rural communities, the poor and the elderly are often the ones left out of the medical system and the Association of American Medical Colleges predicts that by 2020 there will be a further shortage of nearly 100,000 Doctors.
Why is this?
An Aging Population – As the Baby Boomer generation ages, the number of elderly Americans will double by 2030
Declining Medical School Enrollment – The number of Medical School Enrollees per capita has declined since 1980
The Affordable Care Act – This law will increase coverage and therefore demand for healthcare providers while not addressing supply of medical providers
An Aging Doctor Population – Nearly 30% of all US Doctors are over the age of 60 and many will retire in the next 10 years
Faced with this shortage, Medical Residency Resources (MRR) is dedicated to helping solve the problem of a shortage of qualified, trained Doctors in the United States. Thousands of medical school graduates are left out of the US residency matching system every year, limiting the much needed supply of trained Doctors.
MRR takes an entrepreneurial approach to filling this void by connecting our network of medical school graduates with expanding U.S. accredited residency programs.
MRR is a FREE network to join!
Medical School Graduates and Residency Programs pay nothing to join the network and are under no obligations at all.
Empowering healthcare providers and graduates medical education programs is what we are about.
